We expected this to be the last tiling but that was not to be .... see Post completion

Bathroom

The bath is fitted at last. The boxing is stained & the skirting & edging fitted

Snug & new Internal Doors

The snug is virtually complete. This week: the skirting, architrave & the new Idigbo doors are fitted and then it is carpeted. .

One of the new doors.

Additional Water Tank.

My new additional water tank was delivered and fitted this week. This is an optional extra for the Heat Pump which has its own integral water tank. I chose this option because we intend to do B&B at a later date and therefore wanted unusually large quantities of hot water. This takes the output from the heat pump then uses a 400v Immersion heater (I have three phase 415v in the house) to raise the water temperature from 55°C to a user selectable temperature (I have been recommended 62°C) and then stores it. This will obviously add to our electricity consumption (our only imported energy sauce) which I monitor on a weekly basis so I will soon know.
We also had our 1st open fire this week - just in time for Christmas!

BT's Home Highway ISDN Update

You will recall the on-going major dispute with BT (seeWeek 111). The Technical Department contacted me and asked me to download their latest software. I loaded it as suggested but the problem is still the same - computer crashes. It had to be un-installed. I still can not use my ISDN that was installed in May.

No news from the Customer Relations Dept....

From the Archives....

So we don't forget what we have achieved here is a quick look at what we were doing one and two years ago.

Two years ago ( Week 10 ) final preparations for the basement slab were completed in freezing snowy conditions.
One year ago (Week 62 ) I spent the weekend laying a new water main!
