Week84 - 19May 2003

Progress this week

Crunch time. We planned to finish my Parent's annex by this Friday - their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Did we make it?.......... Well we did manage to:

A week of many small jobs - nothing to really get your teeth in to.

Grouting..
Skirting, door & ceiling architrave..
fitted
Suffolk latches....
and matching cupboard handles. All from the Oak Floor supplier - Braodleaf.
The mantle piece is fitted, a gift from Terry our carpenter for the hundreds of cups of tea!
Curtain rails fitted
and finally the kitchen blind

and on Friday 23rd May 2003......

We have a family-only celebration of my parents Golden Wedding including a visit to the church where they married to examine the register which was opened in 1834 and "retired" in 1999!

Mum walks up the aisle
They examine the register
the evidence!
Married at last!
